The Insulators, Welfare & Pension Funds were established with the specific purpose of providing catastrophic health insurance and supplemental retirement income for the members of Insulators and Allied Workers Local No. 26.

The Annuity Fund is designed to provide funds at retirement and, also, for a member (or beneficiary) at certain other times. The types of situations in which distributions can be made are governed by federal tax regulations. This is why not all situations can be covered. Benefits from this Plan, together with benefits from your Pension Plan and Social Security, hold out the hope of a very comfortable retirement - - a just reward after a long and productive career. We pledge to do all that we can to assure that the expectations that we all have for this Plan are realized.

The Welfare Fund has evolved from providing catastrophic heath insurance, to providing a full range of comprehensive benefits, including well child visits, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short and long term disability, vision and hearing benefits. It is our mission to continue to provide benefits that enhance the quality of life of our members and their families.

The Pension Fund has been providing benefits to our members for over 50 years. It has been the goal of the Board of Trustees to enhance the pension plan from a plan that provided supplemental retirement income at age 65 to one that will eventually provide a substantial benefit as early as age 55. In an effort to meet participant retirement needs seven different pension options are offered. We will continue to offer flexible plans to meet the needs of our participants into the future.
